In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK to deliver a speech at the Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Activists delayed speech I doubt I can make the flight we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing assistant".

These messages were published on Wednesday together with more than 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the Congressional committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's identity is redacted. Media outlets managed to establish his involvement by cross-referencing the dates, occurrences, and places mentioned.

For example, Epstein talks about arranging a plane from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the chat, and commends their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, declined to comment on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as Trump's closest advisers in the lead-up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his presidency, but stepped down from the White House in August 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a film about Epstein before his passing and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show recently, he stated: "We plan to release the series, the multi-part documentary, next year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile at times seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A short time before the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the most highly paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are quite capable assistant", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Excluded".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you are taken care of."

UK Politics Mentioned in Messages

The published communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in 2018.

Earlier on the same day his address at the Oxford, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the Brexit thing this morning with Nigel, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling British leader at the period, he added: "The guys are attempting to proceed. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think staying as much as you can uk. Ideal- so people get the commitment of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa May survive". Bannon answered: "I don't see how however the guys here have little courage" and added "Boris ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - someone has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually removed in 2019 after surviving multiple attempts of no confidence in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK told the BBC: "Farage has never been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter took place.

The US House of Representatives will decide soon on whether the justice department should make public all its files related to its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in prison in 2019.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was renewed this week after the release of more than 20,000 pages from his archives.

A portion of those mentioned the former president, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The president was a friend of Epstein's for years, but claims they fell out in the early 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was first arrested.
